High Pressure Laminate, also known as HPL, is a type of decorative laminate. HPL sheets consist of phenolic resin and cellulose. They are produced under the influence of mainly heat and extremely high pressure. This guarantees excellent properties in terms of hardness and rigidity. They are also provided with a UV-protective and colored top layer. Furthermore, the boards are weather-resistant and easy to process. Perfect for interior construction.
In addition to all the advantages mentioned above, HPL also has electrically insulating properties. Also, the material offers many possibilities in terms of processing: drilling, sawing, and milling.
It does not hold dirt, which is ideal for hygienic environments. Because High Pressure Laminate is impact and scratch resistant, it is often used as cladding for homes and offices.
